I love Chestnuts! Again, cultivated by my late granny cooking skills, I love chestnuts soup cooked in the Teochew way. I never knew it can be made into a desserts before I encountered it in a Hongki's bakery in Sydney!


I always always wanted to bake a cupcake with chestnut in it, so this is it, Vanilla cupcakes with Chestnut cream as frosting.


I purposely did not crushed the cooked chestnut finely so that it will add a crunchy and nutty texture to the frosting. Can you spot the chestnut bits here?

And surprise! Chestnut puree as fillings! Double yumm... My pure indulgence in a lazy Saturday afternoon....
