Yeap.... Gongxi Gongxi... Chinese New Year is on the way! (I know Christmas isn't over yet and everyone is still hoo-haa-ing over the Christmas cupcakes and Christmas pressie and Christmas turkey... But a little early preparation is always good, don't you think so?)

It is 10 December today which means another 8 days until the closing of the order-taking of the Christmas Cupcakes!

Girly Girl

Which girl can resist handbag? Apart from always feeling the shortage of clothes in our closet, we are also always short of the bag to go with a certain piece of dress, aren't we?

So for this birthday cupcake set, it is the handbag cupcakes!

The birthday girl loves bear, so I throw in 6 bears holding the alphabets of her names.

I do sounds like a devoted cupcake maniac, sometimes... But maybe there's still people who thinks that cake-cutting is a rituarl during a birthday celebration, so tada... A classic chocolate cake! (and yes, I still add some petite cupcakes around :p)

I hope the birthday boy likes it! It's been quite sometime after my effort to bake a whole cake (and my enthusiasm towards cupcakes) and I am happy with the way it turned out.

Btw, it's classic chocolate cake frosted with chocolate ganache. An old family recipes which I used to bake every Chinese New Year.
