I love Chestnuts! Again, cultivated by my late granny cooking skills, I love chestnuts soup cooked in the Teochew way. I never knew it can be made into a desserts before I encountered it in a Hongki's bakery in Sydney!

I always always wanted to bake a cupcake with chestnut in it, so this is it, Vanilla cupcakes with Chestnut cream as frosting.

I purposely did not crushed the cooked chestnut finely so that it will add a crunchy and nutty texture to the frosting. Can you spot the chestnut bits here?

And surprise! Chestnut puree as fillings! Double yumm... My pure indulgence in a lazy Saturday afternoon....

The soft and creamy buttercream made the cupcakes look so yummy. The buttercream which I adapted in all my cupcakes are meringue buttercream which is less sweet and taste heavenly. One bite and you get hooked!

The first ever theme cupcake! Golf on the cake!

Golf Bag! :p The colour is a little lighter in the picture. It's Mango & Cream Cupcake, filled with real mango chunks ya? Decorations and garnishings are done with fresh cream and fondant.

Golf club & ball... Gotta love the grass? And a little of the sand pit!

It's pretty, fun and delicious! I can still smell the fragrance of mango now... Yumm...

Baby's Arrival

The utmost joy in life would have to be hearing a baby's giggles or seeing them waving their little hands at you. Hence, it is always good to share the joy of the arrival of a new born with all the friends and relatives out there. So, hey! Baby Shower Cupcakes!

Yummy Yam

How many of you do associate yam with grandmothers? I do, sometimes! :p I remember my grandmother used to like yam in any form, pastry, cake, rice, deep fried, steamed etc etc and I did once ordered the Yam Fudge Cake for her birthday.

Hence, the Yam Fudge Cupcake!

Yam Sponge Cupcake topped with a generous layer of Yam Fudge. I like the fragrance of fresh yam in the fudge layer and when served chilled, it is the best summer dessert ever! So refreshing.

Sprinkle with dessicated coconut to add an extra crunch to the cupcake. I used to think that this is (almost) a traditional cake that not many younger generation will like it, but I was wrong! Everyone love the soft and fluffy yam sponge cake and the cold fudge layer!

I love the simplicity of these Miffy rabbit and bear cookies! So simple yet so pretty! The rich butter aroma is so tempting. Have you ever imagine how the combination of butter, sugar and eggs yield these yummy little creatures?

TGIF Cupcakes...

This is my favourite cupcake all the time! Lemon Cupcake with Cream Cheese frosting! The refreshing lemony cupcake neutralised the rich cream cheese flavour, so everything is so perfect.

I add on a swirl of buttercream on top of the cream cheese. I've been head over heels with this meringue buttercream which is less sweet than the traditional buttercream lately. Taste perfectly but guilt-free! (Ok.... not so! :p)
